I Went to a Pig Roast. What Fun!!

My foster mom took me to a real pig roast last weekend. It was so much fun. Did you know they cook real pigs! Boy! am I glad I'm a dog.
Anyway, a bunch of my rescue friend and I were there to let people know all about Illinois Birddog Rescue and to let them know we are looking for that special fur-ever home. All those people were so nice. I got tons of attention and pats on the head :o) I hated to leave. The kids were the best. They liked to throw me a ball.

It's hard to see us in the picture, but I'm the handome one on the right. From Left to right is Lexie, Hunter(not a IBR dog), Minnie-Me, Libby, and yours truley. We all get along great together when we can meet.

I'm Handsome and Friendly

I just came into Illinois Birddog Rescue, but all ready I have stolen the heart of my foster mom. I can do that with you too. Want to meet?

My foster moms changed my name to something a little easier to say, so I go by the name of Tate. The name Tate has an English background and means 'happy or cheerful' and that describes me to a tee.

This is what people are saying about me. "Tate is a perfect companion. Although he is a little older, estimated to be 8 years old, he still has plenty of energy. He loves to hang out in the yard and search for bunnies and birds, and go for walks on a leash. He wants to pull a bit, but does well on the English slip lead. In the house, Tate is very quiet and is content to lay on the rug by the door napping, or watching the neighborhood. Tate is very friendly to everyone, and seems especially fond of the neighborhood kids that he has met. He gets along with the other dogs, but doesn't seem interested in playing or interacting with them, so would do fine as an only dog, (since it's only been a couple days, he may change his mind. Will keep you updated on this). He is also good with cats, and all but ignores the 12 week old kitten in the house"

See I'm a well rounded guy and I would make anyone the perfect pet. What more could you ask for.

If you are interested in meeting me, let Illinois Birddog Rescue know and they will put us together.

Hope to see you soon.

Tate
